Spain-based animation producer BLACK MARIA has added a new series to its slate of innovative projects with YENNY, a new animated comedy-adventure series for teenagers.
YENNY, the big-footed boricua girl, started her adventures via internet around seven years ago, entertaining people around the world. Eventually, Universal Press Syndicate adopted her comic strips for digital distribution through

YENNYs creator (DAVID ALVAREZ) is working together with the creative directors at BLACK MARIA in the graphic development of the animated TV series.
The series will follow the original storylines and arguments from the comic strips, and the idea is to organize an international group of experienced scriptwriters, american and european, under the supervision of DAVID ALVAREZ and FERNANDO CARRION (producer and director)
Now BLACK MARIA is looking for co-production partners and starting initial contacts to find financial investors for the project. The initial plans are to secure all financial sources in the next months and start production by fall 2008.
The project website will be ready in the next weeks, including production details, full info about the series and the characters, and a flash games gallery featuring YENNY and her friends.
