My father passed away.
I do not want to make a tribute drawing as I normally do with deceased artists or actors because my heart is not ready to draw his face yet.
So for now I'll settle for the good memories and the great example that the great Tato Alvarez was for me.
He was an authority figure not only for my family but for many. He was made to be a leader and showed it tirelessly in everything he did. He taught me to work for what I want. He taught me to wake up early and sit next to him in a truck every morning to bring food to the house. He taught me that work was honor. He eventually became supervisor at the factory where he worked. He taught me how to be a leader. He taught me to steer firmly. That no matter how strong the storm was, he had to stand firm and bring everyone safe.
Especially he taught me to do everything with love.
I am what I am because he was always there for me. No matter how difficult the situation was, when he hugged me I felt that everything would be fine.
You fought until the last moment, Tato, and I want you to know you sailed the ship carrying our family as a great captain.
Thank you dad. I miss you more than any words could describe. Where you are now you don't suffer anymore and that reassures me.
See you soon. Here I will be following your example.
I love you.

I haven't been on here for awhile, was caring for my mom who passed in April. I'm so sorry for your loss.

You were very lucky to have such a wonderful, loving, honorable father.

Blessing on you and your family and especially your dad.
